Susan Zender specializes in landscape painting. She enjoys capturing the local scenery in her artwork, however most of her landscapes are created using her own imagination as inspiration. She tries to go beyond an actual rendition of a scene, as she wants her paintings to be more than just visually pleasing. “My reason for painting is to stir the emotions of the viewer.”

 

Susan enjoys working in a variety of mediums, including oil, pastel and acrylic. Exploring the possibilities of each medium provides a constant learning experience for her.
